  Agreement details

  • Facilitate international transit by simplifying customs transit procedures and the international security system.
  • Facilitate and standardize customs procedures and standardize procedures for transporting goods, so that the goods move from the country of origin to the country of destination with the least restrictions and customs procedures across the borders in the countries through which they transit.
  • Transporting goods in secure carriers/containers so that goods cannot be entered/exited after placing the customs seal.
  • Covering customs taxes with a recognized international guarantee.
  • The goods shall be accompanied by a TIR passbook used in the country of departure.
  • Mutual recognition of customs control measures between the country of origin, the country of destination and the countries of transit.
  • Enforcement of international road transport procedures through the issuance of land transport cards and the conditions that are required to be met by the local guarantor and transport companies to be approved by the TIR system.
Oman National Transport Company (Mwasalat). The National Transport Company, as a guarantor, is obligated to:
  • Issuance of TIR booklets.
  • Payment of customs taxes to customs in cases where the carrier commits any violation of the provisions of the unified customs law and the applicable customs systems and procedures.
