Requirements for Customs Clearance License
- 1-The company’s or establishment’s capital ownership must be fully owned by Omani citizens or GCC nationals.
- 2-The establishment must be registered in the Commercial Register and a member of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
- 3-Customs clearance activity must be included among its registered business activities.
- 4-A refundable financial deposit must be placed as a guarantee for practicing customs clearance activity. Licensing fees are set as follows: OMR 2,500 for a single port, OMR 10,000 for all ports, OMR 500 for sole proprietorships, and OMR 1,000 for companies. The license is valid for two years.
- 5-A certificate of non-conviction for the company’s legal representative must be submitted.
Conditions to be Met at the Customs Clearance Office During Inspection
- 1-The office must meet all stipulated requirements.
- 2-A valid lease contract for the customs clearance office must be presented.
- 3-The office signage must comply with the Commercial Register details.
